Our situation is that we have a large monthly newsletter where the expectation is that recipients would skim through and read only what applies to them, so our read times often land between 14-15 minutes. It would be nice to be able to utilize an average skim metric so I could confidently say “54% of recipients spent an average of 3:02 skimming through the comm”. But with the way the metrics currently calculate, I have to say “54% of recipients spent between 3 seconds and 4:28 skimming through the comm”.
